About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the largest Kaupapa Māori Health Organisation in the Bay of Plenty.

As the Human Resource and Health & Safety Manager, you will:

  • Provide an employee-oriented: high-performance culture that emphasises empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards, goal attainment and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
  • Ensure Te Manu Toroa practices are safe, managed and monitored.
  • Enhance and support the quality of Te Manu Toroa’s service delivery.

In addition, successful candidate must be fully vaccinated both doses of the COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine as part of the Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021.

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification: HR and/or Management.
  • Qualification in Health & Safety desirable.
  • 5 years management experience in HR and/or Health & Safety role, preferably in the Health Sector.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of NZ legislation and its application.
  • Good understanding of the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
  • Expertise in Elmo or similar HRIS software.
  • Experience in Employee Relations an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, liaise and network with health and social services
  • A commitment to excellence, self-management, and professionalism.
